Bolivia pins hopes on lithium, electric vehicles
Here is a good quick article on the lithium possibilities in Bolivia. It remains to be seen if Bolivia can get a good deal from the lithium magnates of the world. Clearly any "value added" to the lithium will be better for Bolivia. But it is a LONG way from extraction to industrialization. There is much more to this than deciding on how much profit to leave in Bolivia. My own perspective is that there are many years of infrastructure formation needed in engineers, technicians, and related technologists to make it possible to think about industrialization. It will be an interesting story to follow.
